A hip, well heeled crowd lends an air of fabulousness to Kyoto, but most of all, this restaurant's uniqueness lies in the closed circuit TV that allows diners to see the sushi chefs as they slice, roll, and garnish away. Known for a fantastic selection of cold sake, Kyoto isn't just a place to grab a quick meal. Instead, it does well to represent the restaurant as destination concept that so many eateries are doing these days. The quality of the sushi is outstanding and the rolls are refreshingly original, such as the Delray Roll composed of eel, roasted garlic, steamed spinach and grilled shiitake mushrooms and the Japanese Chicken Salad Hand Roll with chopped chicken teriyaki, lettuce, cucumber, avocado, masago and sesame mayonnaise. Or, if you can't find anything among the 60 regular rolls offered (shocking, but you never know), the chef may create something tailored to your tastes. Catering to an upscale crowd, Kyoto knows how to please the crowd with 'ooh' and 'aah' inspiring dishes such as toro with shallot, gold flakes, and caviar.
