Insulated from the Pioneer Square yahoos by a couple of blocks, Contour is easy to miss at its lower First Avenue setting. Once inside, however, you'll find a friendly staff, stylish space and decks that bring the best of local DJs to move your feet. An intimate lunch spot by day, the elegantly curved bar slides easily into happy hour to melt away workday stress. Around 10PM, the vibe picks up. From house to jungle, break-beat to live R&B, Contour focuses on placing Seattle's scene before its close-knit dance floor. Warm lighting and sculptures give the space a touch of class most dance clubs overlook, especially when it comes to those going for the after-hours scene. Rather than a black-lit box with speakers, Contour offers a welcoming atmosphere to those looking to dance into the daylight. It's definitely the most inviting club in Seattle and consistently one of the best attended.
