Certain things are accepted as absolute truths, without argument. As sure as Valley summers still sizzle, Pizzeria Bianco still serves the best gourmet pizza with the finest, freshest ingredients. And you'll have to wait nearly two hours to taste them. The pizzas are so good that every major food magazine and TV cooking show has featured Chris Bianco. The question isn't whether he serves the best pizza in town, it's whether Pizzeria Bianco is the best restaurant of any kind. Some national magazines insist it is. Bianco could move from his cramped bistro in Heritage Square to warehouse-size digs in Scottsdale and rake in a lot more money. But he won't do it, for the same reason he stopped serving lunch. It would leave him drained, and he'd be unable to lavish his personal attention on every dish that leaves the kitchen. If it's your first trip, know that you'll be sampling made-from-scratch pies -- fresh dough, homemade sauce, the best cheeses and garden-fresh herbs. Six pizzas are on the menu, all with vibrant flavors and a crisp, chewy crust. Bianco has a beer and wine bar next door in another restored house -- a cozy place to wait for your table. -- Cecil Tuck

Great Food
By AzPvt on 07/07/2008
Anyone who dares to compare this with a Taco Bell or its similiarities definetely is out of this league. And the service staff has never presented a pompous attitude. I've been there at least 5-6 times and have thoroughly enjoyed each and every occasion.

I had planned to go to Pizza Bianco on our upcoming trip to Phoenix in two weeks. I'm going to pass......good pizza is definitely NOT worth the wait and arrogant staff.

Less than 1 Star

We went to this restaurant because Oprah said it was the best pizza she ever tasted. All I have to say is Oprah doesn't get out much. We antisapated the LONG wait but did not antisapate the VERY tastless, VERY expensive food. While we waited to be seated, we watched someone washing pans in the back yard with a garden hose. We are a succsesful restaurant here in Arizona, and we love to visit other succesful restaurants, but we know the food costs of what we ate and we paid WAY TO MUCH! Not to mention, pans being washed in the back yard, what would the Health Dept say??
